SUMMARY:Death Angel, Zagreb (Vintage Industrial Bar), Croatia
DESCRIPTION:Death Angel\nFriday, 7/31/2026, 8:30 PM to 11:00 PM\nZagreb // Vintage Industrial Bar // Croatia\nGet your tickets!\nDeath Angel, the legendary Bay Area thrash metal outfit, are rolling through Zagreb on Friday, 7/31/2026 as part of their summer European tour, with a stop at the Vintage Industrial Bar.\nFacebook event!\nDeath Angel are a Filipino-American thrash metal band from Daly City, California! Their story spans two eras: 1982 to 1991, and then from 2001 onward, when they’ve been going strong without a break up to today. They’ve put out nine studio albums, two demos, one compilation and three live albums. The band has gone through plenty of lineup changes over the years, with guitarist Rob Cavestany the only member who’s been there since day one. Only Cavestany and vocalist Mark Osegueda, who joined in 1984, have played on every single studio album the band has released.\nDeath Angel were one of the most beloved thrash metal bands out of the Bay Area in the eighties. They’re often counted among the leading acts of the second wave of the thrash metal movement from the ’80s, and are considered one of the “Big Eight” thrash metal bands, alongside Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax, Testament, Exodus and Overkill. After breaking through with their first two albums, “The Ultra-Violence” (1987) and “Frolic Through the Park” (1988), Death Angel signed with Geffen Records in 1989 and released the album “Act III” the following year.\nDuring the tour supporting “Act III”, the band’s drummer at the time, Andy Galeon, was badly injured in a bus crash, and his full recovery took more than a year, which led to the band splitting up in 1991. Death Angel reactivated in 2001 at the “Thrash of the Titans” benefit show in support of Testament frontman Chuck Billy. Since then, Death Angel have lined up six more albums, including “Humanicide” (2019). The title track from that record earned them a Grammy nomination. Death Angel are currently working on new material. The tenth studio album is expected to arrive before the end of this year or in 2027.\n\n\n
