Steven Wilson, one of the key curators of the global prog rock scene, has announced his new album “Requiem For A Village,” dropping November 6. The album will be released via Fiction Records.
Check out the single and video for the new album’s title track below.
Scottish actor David Tennant handles the narration on the new record, Wilson’s ninth, which turns away from the modern world and heads into the unknown, settling in a village that exists beyond time and space. Joining him on the album are former XTC member Andy Partridge, who wrote the story and some of the lyrics, multi-instrumentalist Randy McStine, drummer Russell Holzman (on Requiem For A Village, Now Departing, A Basket Of Bees and Wheel), and singer Katherine Priddy (Murmuration).
You can already pre-order “Requiem For A Village.”
