It doesn't matter where you're from

Ljubljana, Vienna, Zagreb, Budapest, Munich, Milan or anywhere else — we don't mind. All that counts is that you love music and live shows and want to write about them or photograph them. Everything else we can sort out remotely.

Who we are

A music outlet run on love

Rockline is an independent, volunteer-run music webzine, kept alive since 2006 by people who'd rather be at the show than anywhere else. We're not a corporation and we have no marketing budget — we're a community that writes about rock, metal and everything in between simply because we love it.

Honestly

We can't offer you a paycheck

Let's be upfront from the start: because we're non-profit and run it out of our own pockets, we can't promise pay. What we can offer is something money doesn't buy — a crew, a ticket into the photo pit, and someone happy to teach you how it's done.

Concert photography

Together with Beyond The Sensor we'll teach you to shoot in the pit — from camera settings to working with stage light. We shoot in Ljubljana, Vienna and Budapest.

Writing reports and reviews

We'll show you how to turn a concert or an album into a story readers actually finish.

Running interviews

How to prepare good questions, lead a conversation and draw something special out of the person across from you.

Accreditation and access

With us you get into shows you'd otherwise watch from the back rows — with a photo pass and media access.

A byline in a 20-year archive

Your work earns a place on an established site with two decades of history and a loyal audience — great for a portfolio.

Who we're looking for

It doesn't matter whether you're experienced or just starting out — passion is what counts. Everything else we'll teach you.

Photographers

Catch the energy of the stage. Great if you already shoot, but not required — we'll teach you everything.

Journalists

You write news, previews and features about what's happening on the scene in Slovenia, Austria, Germany, Croatia and Hungary.

Interviewers

You lead conversations with artists — from local bands to visiting names.

Reviewers

You listen, watch and share your take — on albums, concerts and new releases.
