Seventh Wonder, the Swedish progressive metallers on the roster of Italy’s Frontiers Music Srl., put out their last studio album “Testament” (RockLine review) back in 2022. Now they’re unveiling a fresh original single, Eternal Flame, kicking off a new chapter in their career.
When original vocalist Tommy Karevik left the ranks to devote himself fully to symphonic power metallers Kamelot, the future of Seventh Wonder was thrown into question. But the band picked itself back up and brought in a new singer, Mattias Olofsson, who has plenty of experience under his belt and previously played in Grand, among other bands.
Alongside that, the band has also confirmed that they’re recording material for their next studio album.
Seventh Wonder were founded in Stockholm in 2000 by bandleader and bassist Andreas Blomquist. To date, they’ve racked up six studio albums in total and are hugely respected among fans of the genre.
Lineup:
Mattias Olofsson – vocals
Johan Liefvendahl – guitar
Andreas Blomqvist – bass guitar
Andreas “Kyrt” Söderin – keyboards
Stefan Norgren – drums
