To celebrate the 50th anniversary of their debut “Tales Of Mystery And Imagination Edgar Allan Poe”, Alan Parsons Project are putting out a reissue of the album in all formats.

The band’s classic 1976 album will be available as a three-LP set, a three-CD set, an exclusive picture disc and a Blu-ray.

The three-LP set, mastered by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios, is limited to 1,976 copies, and every copy comes with a certificate of authenticity. The box also includes the original 1976 album, the 1987 “Remix” album, the “Work in Progress” album with early mixes, demos and alternate takes, plus a deluxe book with all the lyrics, commentary on the bonus tracks, and interviews with Alan Parsons, Sally Woolfson, the musicians and the other people who worked on the album.

The three-CD set, also mastered by Showell, features the original 1976 album, the 1987 “Remix” album, 34 bonus tracks (12 of them previously unreleased), as well as rough mixes, demos and alternate versions, along with a book.

The picture-disc LP carries the original 1976 album in a strictly limited edition and comes with a 12” x 12” insert showing the original artwork from the inner sleeve.

The Blu-ray includes a brand-new 2026 Dolby Atmos mix and a 2016 5.1 surround mix that Alan Parsons put together from the original multitrack master tapes. It also has the original 1976 album in an HD-remastered version, the remastered 1987 “Remix Album” and the “Work In Progress” album, all remastered by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios. The Blu-ray edition also comes with a lavishly illustrated 16-page booklet featuring all the lyrics, plus quotes from Alan Parsons and his thoughts on the new remixes.
