American heavy metal supergroup Axe Dragger (featuring current and former members of Fu Manchu, Pantera, Dark Funeral and Pentagram) are unleashing their wild debut single from the upcoming self-titled album “Axe Dragger”, out March 6 on Ripple Music.
The single is already available on all digital platforms!
Axe Dragger started out as the brainchild of Fu Manchu guitarist Bob Balch and former Pentagram drummer Pete Campbell. The quartet came into full shape once original Pantera vocalist Terry Glaze and Dark Funeral bassist Fredrik Isaksson joined Bob and Pete.
The band draws its inspiration from the metal spirit of 80s titans like Riot, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Dio and Armored Saint, among others, only with the sound suitably modernized, of course. Axe Dragger are reviving the golden age of heavy metal.
The lyric video for the title single was created by Emmy-nominated motion designer and art director DJ Summitt. The Axe Dragger single is an absolute magnet from the classic heavy metal universe, one that’s bound to satisfy the tastes of everyone who swears by the legacy of metal pioneering, forged in the sweat and talent of immortal legends: Judas Priest, Riot, Iron Maiden and Dio.
The album “Axe Dragger” was mixed by Brian Scheuble (Mötley Crüe, Whitesnake, Stone Temple Pilots, Nine Inch Nails) and mastered by Dave Collins (Metallica, Soundgarden). The album artwork is the work of Seldon Hunt.
You can already pre-order the album “Axe Dragger”.
