Blondie, the legendary American rock icons, will drop a new studio album next year called “High Noon”. Check out the first single and video (visualizer) for the track Spectral Eyes below.
Spectral Eyes was written for the new Blondie album by former The Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr, who also joins in on guitar as a special guest on the single.
“High Noon”, the band’s 12th studio album, is their first collection of new music in nine years, following the release of “Pollinator” in 2017. “High Noon” is also the last album to feature drums from the late Clem Burke.
“High Noon” was recorded in New York with producer John Congleton (St. Vincent, The Killers), who also produced “Pollinator”. “High Noon” will be out on February 26, 2027 via BMG.
The track Sleepwalking was written by Sex Pistols bassist Glen Matlock, while Little Metal Drummer originally comes from “Heart On A Wall”, the 1981 solo debut by Blondie co-founder and keyboardist Jimmy Destri.
