Devin Townsend, the Canadian singer-songwriter, elusive musical visionary, genius and sonic terrorist, will release a new studio album, “The Moth”, on May 29, 2026. The album is coming out on Insideout Music.
The first single and video, for the track Enter The City, is up below.
“The Moth” is Devin Townsend’s most ambitious work to date. It’s a project that lived in his head as a life’s work – an undertaking more than a decade in the making, bringing together orchestra, choir and theater. What started as a distant vision became reality after Townsend got an invitation to collaborate with the Noord Nederlands Orkest.
The studio version was recorded entirely with the Noord Nederlands Orkest, and Devin is joined on the album by a tried-and-true crew of musical collaborators, including Mike Keneally (Frank Zappa), Darby Todd (Jordan Rudess, The Darkness), James Leach (Sikth), Anneke Van Giersbergen (The Gathering) and Lynn Wu (OU).
“The Moth” will be available in all formats and in a variety of editions. You can already pre-order “The Moth”.
