One of the most influential bands in metal history will play Pula as part of the European “Faithkeepers” tour, serving up a career-spanning set from a band that’s been at it for more than half a century!
Judas Priest are considered one of the most influential bands in metal history. Their career has lasted more than five decades and has marked the evolution of the entire genre. Formed in 1969 in Birmingham, a city many call the cradle of heavy metal, they quickly became synonymous with the metal sound. Over the years the band built a reputation as one of the biggest live attractions on the scene, and their importance is confirmed by a long list of honors, including a Grammy Award and induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Through the eighties they became a global live phenomenon and headlined the world’s biggest festivals, such as Monsters Of Rock, among others, cementing their status as one of the most important institutions in metal. The influence of Judas Priest reaches far beyond the music. They also had a major impact on shaping the visual identity of heavy metal, popularizing the instantly recognizable look of leather and studs, which eventually grew into a symbol of the whole metal culture.
Judas Priest released their latest album, their nineteenth, “Invincible Shield”, in early March 2024. Critics and fans welcomed it with great enthusiasm, confirming that more than five decades after their formation, Judas Priest remain one of the strongest and most relevant bands on the global metal scene. Their discography from this period includes a collection of cult albums, among which “British Steel”, “Screaming For Vengeance” and “Painkiller” stand out in particular. These records gave us timeless metal anthems such as “Breaking the Law“, “Living After Midnight” and “You’ve Got Another Thing Comin’“, songs that have become staples of live setlists all over the world.
As part of the European “Faithkeepers” tour, Judas Priest are playing a run of shows in the biggest cities of Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, the Netherlands, France and Spain, and they’ll also hit some of Europe’s biggest festivals. The tour kicks off in Germany at the end of July and rolls through Europe all through August, and their stop in Croatia gives fans a rare chance to experience the energy and spectacle of one of the greatest metal bands of all time in the unique setting of an ancient amphitheater.
Opening for Judas Priest will be the world-famous Croatian heavy metal band Jelusick, led by the charismatic and versatile vocalist Dino Jelusić. Dino Jelusić doesn’t just shine with his fantastic voice and range. He’s an outstanding singer and probably the hottest star on today’s hard rock vocalist market.
On the recently released single “Reign Of Vultures” he once again proves his genius feel for music and his talent for songwriting. The multi-instrumentalist has made a name for himself on the scene by working with various music giants and on a range of musical projects. He’s already collaborated with Gus G., George Lynch, Jeff Scott Soto, Joel Hoekstra, Jon Oliva, Mike Portnoy and David Coverdale. He’s a regular member of Trans-Siberian Orchestra and Whitesnake.
Alongside Dino Jelusić, Jelusick’s guitarist is Ivan Keller. This gifted guitarist is no stranger to the music scene either, having already recorded albums with Gus G., Mike Mangini and Tony Dickinson.
The rhythm section of Jelusick is made up of Luka Brodaric on bass and Mario Lepoglavec on drums. Like Dino and Ivan, Luka and Mario have impressive musical résumés of their own.
Tickets go on sale on Wednesday, 3/18/2026 onEventim.
