Lovebites formed in 2016 with a lineup of vocalist Asami, guitarists Midori and Miyako, bassist Miho and drummer Haruna. They debuted in May 2017 with the EP “The Lovebites” on London label JPU Records, followed in October 2017 by the first full-length “Awakening From Abyss”, and a string of shows across Japan and the UK came right after. In 2018 they played Vans Warped Tour Japan 2018 for the first time, an event organized by XFLAG, and then went on to play the biggest metal festival in the world, Wacken Open Air in Germany, as well as Bloodstock Open Air in the UK.

In January 2020 the band released their third album, “Electric Pentagram”. In August 2021 Miho left the band, and Lovebites announced they’d be taking a break. In October 2022 new bassist Fami joined the band. In February 2023 they put out their fourth studio album, “Judgement Day”, and the following June Lovebites set off on their first world tour. This year the band dropped their fifth studio album, “Outstanding Power”, and in March 2026 Lovebites played the legendary Budokan in Japan for the first time.
