On August 31, 2026, Mostovna is set for a night every death metal fan will want in on. Legendary American band Massacre is hitting the stage🤘💀

Massacre are considered one of the pioneering names of the Florida death metal scene. Their raw sound, heavy riffs and dark atmosphere have been shaping the genre since the early ’90s. On the European Dead Beyond tour, they’ll play material from their newer era along with the classics fans expect at every show.

Massacre will probably be one of the loudest nights at Mostovna this summer. If you’re into old-school death metal, or you just want to catch one of the genre’s cult bands in a club setting, this night at Mostovna is pretty much a must.

Claustrum (IT)

Claustrum is an old-school death metal trio formed somewhere between Trieste and Gorizia, bound together by a wild passion for old-school death metal. They draw inspiration from sci-fi, horror, authors like Poe and Lovecraft, and the misery of human existence. On their self-titled debut, they deliver a lethal dose of cryptic, eerie death metal that announces the coming apocalypse.

The Latin word claustrum refers to a thin layer of gray matter that connects cortical and subcortical regions. It’s considered the most connected part of the telencephalon, enabling the integration of multiple sensory stimuli such as sight, sound and touch. It’s often regarded as the area of the human brain where the soul resides.

But claustrum also means an enclosed space, a fence, a prison. As the band explained:
“For us, Claustrum also means separation from the rest of the world. The album was made during the isolation of the pandemic, so it’s above all a pressure valve, something genuine and spontaneous that let us release… something more.”

A Goat As Our Shepherd (BE/NED)

Belgian-Dutch death metal band A GOAT AS OUR SHEPHERD (AGAOS for short) has been slowly but steadily carving its way through the local and international metal scene since forming in 2019. With their brutal, melodic and utterly unique sound, they’re winning the hearts and souls of every self-respecting metalhead. Both with their recorded output and with their consistently jaw-dropping, high-energy live shows.

Though deeply rooted in ’90s death metal, AGAOS refuse to box themselves in when it comes to musical expression. They effortlessly blend influences from Bloodbath, In Flames, Dissection, Pantera, Heaven Shall Burn and more into one coherent symphony of destruction. After the debut EP “Agaos” (2021) and the highly acclaimed first full-length “Epiphany” (2023), the band returned in February 2026 with their second album, “Man Proposes, Earth Disposes”. With a refined signature sound, more detail, more groove and literally everything that gets a metalhead’s heart racing, AGAOS are ready for the next step in their career.

Long live the GOAT!

FLTR lineup: Fons – drums / Mathijs – lead and rhythm guitar / T’Seyen – vocals / Styg – rhythm and lead guitar / Wim – bass guitar
