Pula // Arena Pula // Croatia
One of the most influential figures in modern electronic music, Moby, is heading to the Arena in Pula on July 23, 2026, for his first-ever solo show in Croatia. It’s part of a big new world tour featuring a completely reworked live concept and a fresh chapter in his rich career.
Moby, Electronic Visionary, Live at Arena Pula on July 23
Moby, who marked the 25th anniversary of the legendary album Play in 2024, is back on stage with a revitalized live spectacle that blends ambient soundscapes, rave energy, and soul aesthetics. His arrival at one of the most iconic venues on the Mediterranean promises a night that goes way beyond the standard concert format.
Over three decades, Moby has sold more than 20 million albums and put his name on a string of global hits like Porcelain, Natural Blues and Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad?. His work has burst through genre boundaries, from electronica to punk, ambient, and industrial sounds, cementing him as one of the key figures in modern music history.
His influence reaches into the world of collaboration and production, too. He’s worked with artists like David Bowie, Public Enemy, Ozzy Osbourne, The Beastie Boys and Daft Punk, further cementing his role as a bridge between different musical worlds.
After a break from live shows that lasted more than a decade, he returned to the stage in 2024, and his new tour brings a fresh, modern approach to the live performance, with new production, reworked arrangements, and a dramaturgy that weaves together nostalgia and the future of electronic music.
The crowd at Arena Pula can expect a set that brings together his timeless classics, deeper cuts from across his career, and new takes on the tracks that shaped the global music landscape. All of it will be backed by his trademark activist message and his long-standing support for animal rights.
Moby’s story begins in New York, where he studied classical music as a kid and later fought his way through the local punk scene. His real breakthrough came with the single “Go” (1991), regarded as one of the most important electronic singles of the nineties.
In 1999 came the groundbreaking album Play, which, with its mix of blues and gospel samples and electronics, became a global phenomenon and one of the most successful electronic albums of all time. As his career went on, Moby explored different sonic directions, from industrial to ambient, and with the albums 18, Hotel and projects like Moby & The Void Pacific Choir, he kept widening his creative range.
His production work also includes documentary films and projects in development, and he remains an active voice for animal rights and social causes.
In his work, Moby has often reflected on the influences of music history. In his book Then It Fell Apart he wrote:
“I grew up with disco in the seventies, when I knew it as exciting pop music on AM radio. In the eighties it died down, but it still inspired everyone from New Order to Duran Duran and Kraftwerk. Then, in the late eighties, the spirit of disco came back with full force and gave birth to house music, techno, rave culture, and even a big chunk of hip-hop. Disco was the melting pot where most modern music was born, and in the disco of all discos, nobody ever ruled more powerfully or more confidently than Donna Summer.”
And in his autobiography Porcelain: A Memoir, he wrote about growing up and escaping through music:
“It represented a world I didn’t know, the opposite of everything where I was – and I hated where I was. I hated the poverty, the cigarette smoke, the drugs, the awkwardness, the loneliness. And Diana Ross promised me that there was a world not colored by sadness and resignation. Somewhere there’s a world that’s sensual, robotic, and hypnotic. And clean.”
Insights like these reveal even more of the depth of an artist who turned electronic music into an emotional, intimate, and global experience.
His first solo show in Croatia at the Arena in Pula will be more than just a concert, then. It’ll be a retrospective, a turning point, and a new story from one of the most important creators in modern music.
Tickets for Moby’s July 23, 2026 show at the Arena in Pula are still available on Eventim.si and at all Eventim box offices.
