Guitar Virtuoso Timo Tolkki Hits Zagreb in Late October – The Man Who Put Stratovarius on the Map
Top-tier Finnish guitar virtuoso, musical visionary, multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer Timo Tolkki is playing Zagreb on October 24, 2026.
The show is announced for the Zagreb venue Primarius Craft Pivovara, and Timo promises a night of Stratovarius classics. In other words, an evening of timeless melodies from a legendary era. The era of the second half of the nineties, when power metal slowly came into full bloom.
Timo Tolkki is known for plenty of solo works and projects, through which he’s released and written music that often follows the collision of classical music and metal.
But he’s best known as the guy who founded Stratovarius in the eighties and carried them through the nineties on the wings of unforgettable studio albums, with “Episode” (1995), “Visions” (1996), “Destiny” (1998) and “Infinite” (2000) standing out in particular, putting them on the world map. That made Stratovarius one of the central power metal bands, whose image and work also influenced the later boom of symphonic and power metal.
More information and details about the concert will follow in the coming days.
