Gus Drax, the Greek guitar virtuoso, released his studio album “Theories Of Imperfection” today, April 3, 2026. The album is out via Theogonia Records.
To mark the release, the guitarist also unleashed a new video and single for the track Ethereal Horizon, which you can check out below. The video was created by Bob Katsionis (Progressive Vision Group) and Alexander Haritakis.
“Theories Of Imperfection” is Drax’s most ambitious and polished work to date. The new record packs eight tracks that take us on a journey through instrumental progressive metal, blending technical flawlessness, melodic depth and emotional intensity.
Gus Drax is known for his work with Sunburst and Black Fate, and he also spent ten years as a member of the Greek thrash metal revivalists Suicidal Angels.
The album features an outstanding cast of guest musicians, including George Kollias (drums), George Charalampidis (bass) and Bob Katsionis (keyboards). Also on board are John Koutselinis (orchestral arrangements), Lefteris Pouliou (saxophone) and Andy James, who contributes a guest guitar solo.
The album was mixed and mastered by Simone Mularoni (DGM) at Domination Studio.
