Padova Hall / Padova / Italy
(below you will find the texts also in English language)
The rocking evening at Padova Hall was opened by British hard rock band South Of Salem. Their set was short, and most of the audience didn’t seem to know them, but the band still managed to warm up the room and get us pumped for the acts to follow. Their performance was packed with great guitar and drum solos, and vocalist Joey Draper‘s solid delivery put the cherry on top.
Setlist:
- Let Us Prey
- Jet Black Eyes
- Static
- Vultures
- Left for Dead
- Cold Day in Hell
Next up were American horror punk outfit Wednesday 13 from North Carolina. They ran through songs from the vocalist’s former bands Murderdolls and Frankenstein Drag Queens from Planet 13, plus a cover of Billy Idol‘s White Wedding. The show was dedicated to two late members, Joey Jordison and Ben Graves. If you can’t say anything else about Americans… they always put on an incredible show. Vocalist and frontman Joseph Michael Poole, better known as Wednesday 13, radiated youthful, feral energy despite his years. While the rest of the band were masterfully locked into their instruments, Wednesday put on a full-on spectacle up front. His facial contortions and provocative moves drove the crowd wild and kept every eye on him until the final song. The setlist was a solid reflection of both disbanded groups’ core sound, hitting the biggest crowd-pleasers — Summertime Suicide, Dead in Hollywood, People Hate Me (where Wednesday didn’t miss the chance to point out that people still hate him) and I Love to Say Fuck. Visually the band delivered too, with their KISS-inspired make-up and dark costumes. There’s genuinely nothing bad to say about the whole set — except that it could’ve gone on a lot longer.
Setlist:
- The World According to Revenge
- Chapel of Blood
- Death Valley Superstars
- 197666
- Slit My Wrist
- Love at First Fright
- Motherfucker, I Don’t Care
- People Hate Me
- Graverobbing USA
- Die My Bride
- Summertime Suicide
- Rock ‘n’ Roll Is All I Got
- Nowhere
- White Wedding
- I Love to Say Fuck
- Dead in Hollywood
After Wednesday 13, the main stars of the night took the stage — Swedish four-piece glam/street/rock band Hardcore Superstar. They blew the fans away with a massive run of hits. The on-stage chemistry between the members was electric, and it spread right through the whole hall. They kicked off with a few hard-hitting tracks, then softened the crowd up with acoustic renditions of two ballads, Run to Your Mama and Standin’ on the Verge, before closing the night with their biggest anthem, You Can’t Kill My Rock ‘n Roll, which sent the crowd completely over the edge. Vocalist and frontman Joakim Berg, guitarist Vic Zino and bassist Martin Sandvik kept every song fresh and exciting through their interplay on stage. Even though the set ran pretty long, the crowd was loudly begging for more at the end. The only thing that came through the speakers, though, was The Best — the band’s thank-you to their Italian fans — and then they were gone.
Setlist:
- This Worm’s for Ennio (recorded intro)
- Beg for It
- Into Debauchery
- Medicate Me
- Guestlist
- Kick on the Upperclass
- She’s Offbeat
- We Don’t Need a Cure
- Bag on Your Head
- Run to Your Mama (Acoustic)
- Standin’ on the Verge (Acoustic)
- Someone Special
- Moonshine
- Last Call for Alcohol
- No Resistance
Encore
- Above the Law
- We Don’t Celebrate Sundays
- Electric Rider
- You Can’t Kill My Rock ‘n Roll
Padova Hall, where the rock spectacular unfolded on 17 November, had great sound. The performers came through clearly from every corner of the room. The only weak spot was the Hardcore Superstar vocalist, who was occasionally swamped by the guitars or drums despite a powerful voice. The hall was nowhere near full — a lot of attendees had come purely for Wednesday 13 and headed out after their set, replaced by Hardcore Superstar fans. Even so, in that half-empty room, the energy from both the crowd and the performers was absolutely nuts, whether you were packed in right at the barrier or hanging back in the last rows.

An english version:
This hellish rocking night in Padova Hall was opened by the British hard rock band South Of Salem. Their set was very short and most of the audience seemed to be unfamiliar with them, but the band still managed to warm up the atmosphere and get us excited for the next acts. Their performance was full of great guitar and drum solos, with the icing on the cake being the good vocals of lead singer Joey Draper.
The concert was followed by the American horror punk band Wednesday 13 from North Carolina. They played songs by the vocalist’s former bands Murderdolls and Frankenstein Drag Queens from Planet 13, and there was also a cover of Billy Idol’s White Wedding. The concert was dedicated to two deceased members Joey Jordison and Ben Graves. If you can’t say anything else about the Americans… they always put on an incredible show. Vocalist and frontman Joseph Michael Poole, better known as Wednesday 13, exuded a youthful and wild energy despite his years. While the rest of the band were masterfully tending to their instruments, Wednesday 13 put on a spectacle on stage. With his facial grimaces and provocative gestures, he blew the audience away and held our attention until the end of his set. The setlist reflected well the mainstream sound of the two disbanded bands with a selection of greatest hits such as Summertime Suicide, Dead in Hollywood, People Hate Me (where Wednesday didn’t forget to mention that people still hate him) and I Love to Say Fuck. Visually, the members also impressed with their KISS-inspired make-up and dark costumes. There is nothing bad to say about the whole performance, only that it could have lasted longer.
After Wednesday 13 show, the main stars of the evening, the four-piece Swedish glam/street/rock band Hardcore Superstar, took the stage. They wowed the fans with a huge number of hits. They developed great chemistry that spread throughout the whole hall. They started the set with a couple of banging songs, then got the audience going with an acoustic rendition of two ballads Run to Your Mama and Standin’ on the Verge, and closed with their biggest hit You Can’t Kill My Rock ‘n Roll, which completely blew the audience away. Vocalist and frontman Joakim Berg, guitarist Vic Zino and bassist Martin Sandvik made each song different and interesting with their on-stage interactions. Although their concert was quite long, the crowd was loudly encouraging them to play one more song at the end. The only song that came out of the speakers was The Best, with which the band thanked their Italian fans and then left the stage.
The Padova Hall, where the rock spectacle took place on 17 November, had a great sound system. The performers could be heard from any part of the hall. Only the singer of Hardcore Superstar was slightly less well-heard at times, occasionally being drowned out by guitars or drums despite his strong vocals. The hall was nowhere near full, as many of the visitors had only come for Wednesday 13 and left after their performance, to be replaced by Hardcore Superstar fans. Despite the somewhat empty hall, you could feel the crazy energy of the crowd and the performers, whether you were squeezed in right at the front of the stage or enjoying the show from the back rows.
