The new single and its companion video sail through restless rock territory
Jure Lesar and his backing band Krila ptice are back with a distinctly rock-driven sound on the new single »Škoda časa«.
Plenty of people have seen a relationship change over time. The protagonist of the song keeps going round in circles through the past, because after all these years things with his partner have gone cold. He tries to find the old version of them, but again and again he realizes their relationship can’t be what it once was. That final »we’re not what we used to be« is both an admission of loss and a chance to look at things differently: a relationship can’t go back in time, but it can change, mature and become something new — maybe even better than before.
Music and lyrics are by Jure Lesar, while production was handled by Jure Lesar and Denis Horvat. Simon Penšek took care of the mix and master.
