Kamelot, the international symphonic power metal band known for their infectious melodies, cinematic storytelling and kick-ass live shows, are back with a new, “mighty” album, “Dark Asylum”, which landed today, August 28, via Napalm Records.

To mark the album’s release, the band dropped a single and video for the track Sanctuary, featuring guest vocalists Clémentine Delauney and Ignacia Fernández. Before it, they put out the singles Goodlike Alchemy, Ashen World (ft. Ignacia Fernández) and Dark Asylum.

With 14 albums in a genre-defining career – including “Haven” (#1 Billboard Hard Rock), “The Shadow Theory” (#2 Billboard Hard Rock, #1 Amazon Hard Rock & Metal) and the latest “The Awakening” (#2 Billboard Hard Rock and Top 10 on the German charts) – Kamelot remain a leading force in modern metal after more than three decades.

Set in the gloomy world of the neo-Victorian era, “Dark Asylum” invites listeners through the gates of “RavenHill Asylum” – a hulking institution once built as a grand cathedral, now converted into a place where science, faith and madness coexist in a seriously uncomfortable relationship.

The album was produced by longtime band companion Sascha Paeth, while the mix and mastering were handled by Danish sound wizard Jacob Hansen.

“Dark Asylum” will be available in all formats and plenty of variants. You can already order it.
