Night Laser announce “Rats In The Cradle” – new single “Defenders” (ft. Sebastian Zierof) is out now
Night Laser, the German glam metal revivalists, will release a new studio album called “Rats In The Cradle” on September 25, 2026. The new record is coming out via Steamhammer/SPV Records.
Two years have passed since Hamburg glam‘n’sleaze metal outfit Night Laser took a quantum leap with their fourth album »Call Me What You Want« and European tours alongside Axel Rudi Pell. Everything that went down in the band’s camp over the past two years led to the quick birth of the follow-up, »Rats In The Cradle«, which lands on September 25, 2026 on CD, double LP and digital via Steamhammer/Open. The new album shows the continued evolution of Night Laser’s well-established sound.
Below you can check out the second single from the album, Defenders, which follows its predecessor Heart Of The Desert Rose, featuring Hardline and Axel Rudi Pell vocalist Johnny Gioeli.
The new album is packed with guest musicians: Corvin Bahn (Gamma Ray, Lord Of The Lost) handled the keyboards, Sascha Paeth (Avantasia) added some heavy guitar sounds to »Blueberry Gin«, and Freedom Call guitarist Lars Rettkowitz also chipped in on the thrash-flavored »Get Out«. On top of that, their friendship with Axel Rudi Pell vocalist Johnny Gioeli led to a collaboration on »Heart Of The Desert Rose«, while »Defenders« features The Voice Of Germany semifinalist Sebastian Zierof.
»Rats In The Cradle« was produced and arranged by Eike Freese (Deep Purple, Saga, and others).
