Oddland, Finnish progressive metallers, released their new studio album “Unilluminate To Illuminate” on August 21, 2026 via Frontiers Music Srl.
To celebrate the release, the band has dropped yet another new single from the album, this time for the track Red Canvas, which you can check out below.
Mixing and mastering for the new album were handled by Grammy-nominated producers Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland at Atrium Audio (August Burns Red, Lorna Shore, Candlebox).
Oddland formed in 2003 in Turku, Finland. After a string of successful demos, the band signed with Century Media and released their debut “The Treachery Of Senses” in 2012.
The record, mixed and mastered by Dan Swanö, was greeted with enthusiasm by critics, who hailed it as the best prog metal record ever made in Finland.
For the follow-up “Origin”, Oddland recorded at Studio Fantom (Insomnium, Korpiklaani, Oranssi Pazuzu), with Daniel Bergstrand (Meshuggah, In Flames, Dimmu Borgir) handling mixing and mastering. The album came out in 2016 via Sensory Records.
In February 2022, the band signed with the German label Uprising! Records (a Target Group subsidiary) and released their third album, “Vermilion”. Carson Slovak and Grant Mcfarland (Black Crown Initiate, Rivers Of Nihil and others) took care of mixing and mastering, while the album cover was created by the band’s drummer Ville Viitanen.
