Preludio Ancestral, the Argentinian power/heavy metal outfit, are spilling the details on their sixth studio album, »Guardians of the Twilight«, which lands on April 14, 2026 on CD and digital.

Preludio Ancestral were formed in Argentina in 2005 under the leadership of guitarist and songwriter Leonardo Gatti. After an early stretch playing hard rock, the band gradually grew into a force of epic, melodic power metal, carving out a recognizable identity through various phases of development and lineup shake-ups.
In 2012 they dropped their debut »Hacia lo Inmortal« (Towards the Immortal), which went down very well at home and abroad and opened the door to supporting well-established acts like Rhapsody of Fire and Stratovarius, among others. The EP »Putrefaction« (2013), their first release recorded entirely in English, followed, along with the albums »Kybalion« (2015) and »El Misterio de la Pasión Divina« (The Mystery of Divine Passion, 2016), cementing the band’s place on the epic power metal scene.
In 2017 the band signed with the Spanish label Fighter Records, which put out their fourth album »Oblivion« in 2018. It’s an ambitious piece of work featuring Argentinian musicians alongside European vocalists. It was followed by the EP »Gloria Futura« (2020) and the album »Magnus«, released in 2023. The band produced both releases themselves.
Right now they’re working on the material for the upcoming album »Guardians of the Twilight«, which will arrive in April 2026 via Fighter Records and feature 12 tracks. The album was composed, mixed and mastered by Leonardo Gatti.
