Strangeways

The album confirms that after the disastrous Perfect World, Strangeways are wading even deeper into off-the-path sonic experiments for the new era, undermining the credibility they earned in the eighties.

The indie rock production, with its crunchy, smeared guitars, keeps this album from being pegged as an AOR/melodic rock record. Strangeways are playing rock again, but sadly not the kind they do best.
