Masterplan were formed in 2001 by former Helloween guitarist Roland Grapow and former Helloween drummer Uli Kush.
Their first full-length album, “Masterplan”, came out in 2003 and was produced by Andy Sneap (a respected British music producer and musician, best known as a Grammy winner, who produced more than 100 albums at Roland Grapow’s studio in Hamburg).
Since then, Masterplan have put out five more albums. In 2004, the band received the “European Border Breakers Award” from the European Commission for the success of their debut across Europe. They’re known for their positive lyrics and musical optimism, unlike many other metal bands.
Masterplan are planning a big European tour for 2025.
As part of the new tour, the band will stop by Ljubljana’s Orto bar on April 14, 2026. They’ll be joined by former Queensryche vocalist Geoff Tate and his backing band, while Italy’s Inner Vitriol will kick off the night. More details are available HERE.
