Lou Gramm, the unforgettable original voice of AOR icons Foreigner, is back with a fresh single, Long Hard Look. The track dates from the sessions for Gramm’s 1989 studio album of the same name, “Long Hard Look”, but never made it onto the record.
This single heralds the legendary singer’s new studio album “Released”, due March 27, 2026, on HNE!
Gramm previously dropped the single Young Love, which you can also check out below.

“Released” features a whole bunch of star names from the world of rock ‘n’ roll alongside Gramm, including Def Leppard guitarist Vivian Campbell, bassist Tony Franklin, and Lou’s brother Ben Gramm on drums!
Gramm wrote all ten songs on the album together with Bruce Turgeon (Black Sheep).
Born in Rochester, New York, into a musical family, Lou Gramm first made his name with Black Sheep, who put out two albums on Capitol. Lou first met Mick Jones in 1975, when Black Sheep shared a bill with Spooky Tooth, the band Mick was playing in at the time. In 1976 the two joined forces and founded Foreigner, who went on to release a string of multi-platinum albums and singles that regularly sat at the top of the charts. Foreigner were even the first band since The Beatles to land their first eight singles in the US Top 20.
While still a member of Foreigner, Lou struck out on his own and released the album “Ready Or Not” in 1987, home to the big hit Midnight Blue. Another successful solo record followed, “Long Hard Look” from 1989, which featured the hit Just Between You And Me.
In 2026, then, Lou Gramm will release his long-awaited third solo album, with the fitting title “Released”. Produced by Lou Gramm himself, “Released” can proudly stand shoulder to shoulder with both of his earlier solo albums, as well as the evergreens he recorded with Foreigner.
The album also includes True Blue Love (Unplugged), which originally appeared on “Long Hard Look” in 1989.
