A photo story of the American band Lord Bishop Rocks live at the Lent festival in Maribor.
About the band:
Lord Bishop’s emotionally charged music is a mix of funk, rock, punk and a pinch of reggae that casts a spell on absolutely everyone. The man himself describes his music as ”Hendrixian Motör Funk”. Think of it as a combo of Jimi Hendrix’s delicious guitar riffs, the raw power of Motörhead and the heavy blues of Zeppelin. The lyrics carry explicit messages of love and politics. Lord Bishop can boast more than 2,000 shows in over 20 countries on four continents, and his band has often been hailed as an extravagant underground rock trio. Over his long career he has shared the stage with some of his idols and with names like Living Colour, Kings X, Johnny Winter, Nazareth, Eric Burdon …
