Archon Angel, a melodic metal project featuring Canadian vocalist Zak Stevens (Circle II Circle, Savatage, Trans-Siberian Orchestra), are announcing the album “Beyond The Grave”, due out on 11. 12. 2026 via the Italian label Frontiers Music Srl.
Below you can check out the title single from the new album, complete with an official lyric video.
The musical direction stays the same on the new album. It’s driven by a passion for and love of the legacy of the legendary Florida metallers Savatage, and Zak once again keeps up his creative partnership with the Italian guitar virtuoso and producer Aldo Lonobile.
Lonobile and Stevens connected while working together on writing, recording and performing the songs for “Return To Eden”, the album from Timo Tolkki’s project Avalon. Lonobile afterwards sent Stevens a few demo recordings of his ideas, which leaned toward the classic creations of the legendary Savatage.
Zak Stevens doesn’t need a detailed introduction. In 1993, Savatage boss Jon Oliva personally picked him to contribute vocals to the Savatage album Edge of Thorns (1993). With Savatage he went on to record the albums “Handful Of Rain”, “Dead Winter Dead” and “The Wake Of Magellan”. He also took part in several releases from the Trans-Siberian Orchestra project, including the albums “Christmas Eve and Other Stories” and “Beethoven’s Last Night”. In 2001 he started his own band, Circle II Circle, with which he has recorded and released seven studio albums to date, the latest of them, “Reign Of Darkness”, in 2015. He has also appeared on albums by Timo Tolkki’s Avalon and Machines Of Grace, as well as on Jon Oliva’s Pain albums.
That’s how the debut “Fallen” came out in 2020, followed in 2023 by the second album, fittingly titled “II”.
