Chicago heavy metallers Repentance will drop their new studio album, titled “Retaliate”, on November 27 via Noble Demon.
Check out the album’s third single, Among The Wolves, below.
“Retaliate” will be available in a range of formats, and you can already pre-order it.
Repentance was founded in 2018 by guitarist Shaun Glass (ex-Soil and Dirge Within). The band quickly built a following thanks to their killer live shows, sharing stages with the likes of Trivium, DevilDriver, Jinjer, Sacred Reich and Toxic Holocaust, among others.
Their debut album “God For A Day” (2020) grabbed plenty of attention from critics, which in 2021 opened the door to a deal with German label Noble Demon. A year later the band released the EP “Volume I – Reborn” (2021). On it, Repentance introduced new vocalist Adam Gilley, and the EP also featured a guest spot from Trivium guitarist Corey Beaulieu.
In 2023 Repentance put out their second album, “The Process Of Human Demise”, which further cemented their reputation for combining the intensity of groove metal with the precision modern thrash metal demands. Produced by Alex Lackner and mixed and mastered by Chris Collier, the album also features guest contributions from Corey Beaulieu and Milo Silvestro (Fear Factory), earning it comparisons to genre giants like Pantera and Lamb Of God.
Now, with Retaliate, the band is pushing their sound even further. “Retaliate” was once again produced by Alex Lackner at Accelerated Sound, while Ari Mihalopoulos handled the mix at Inner Light.
