Primal Fear, the veterans of German power metal, have announced that their bassist Mat Sinner will have to sit out the entire South American tour, which kicks off in mid-April with the opening show in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Sinner got hurt at one of the shows and seriously injured his leg.
For the short South American run, Primal Fear will be joined on bass by Gamma Ray member Dirk Schlächter.
As the history of European power metal tells us, Schlächter and Primal Fear vocalist Ralf Scheepers were once both part of the Gamma Ray lineup. That was back in the nineties, around the first three Gamma Ray albums. Schlächter stayed with Gamma Ray, while Scheepers, soon after leaving Gamma Ray, teamed up with Mat Sinner to found Primal Fear.
