Generation Radio is a new music project that came about a few years ago on the initiative of the Italian label Frontiers Music Srl., and in August 2022 they dropped their self-titled studio debut!
This is a new super rock band that brings together the unexpected talents of two music veterans: Jay DeMarcus, a two-time Grammy winner best known for his work in the country outfit Rascal Flatts, and Jason Scheff, who spent more than thirty years as bassist and vocalist with the legendary American multi-platinum rock band Chicago.
Musically, this lineup is meant to satisfy the cravings of classic West Coast AOR fans, meaning Generation Radio lean on the style of Journey, Survivor and Chicago too.
Now the band is unveiling a fresh original single, the track Montana Sky, which comes with an official music video you can check out below.
With the new single, Generation Radio are announcing a new studio album titled “Take Two”, due out on April 17, 2026 via Frontiers Music Srl.
The album “Take Two”, produced by Generation Radio themselves, is already available to pre-order.
The band, founded by Jay DeMarcus (Rascal Flatts) and Jason Scheff (formerly of Chicago), also features other big names. Steve Ferrone (Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Average White Band) has joined on drums, stepping in for Deen Castronovo, who went back to Journey as a full-time member. Rounding out the lineup are Tom Yankton (guitar, vocals) and Chris Rodriguez (guitar, vocals).
