Pallas, the cult Scottish neo-prog rock outfit, will release a massive nine-disc CD/Blu-ray box set on May 29, 2026, marking a key chapter in their history. The collection “The Midas Touch – The Recordings 1998–2007” packs in 8 CDs and a Blu-ray, covering the albums and live videos released between 1998 and 2007.
Pallas formed in Aberdeen, Scotland. In the early ’80s they rose to become one of the leading bands of the British neo-prog movement, and after touring with Marillion, they won over much bigger crowds too. After the hiatus that followed the album “The Wedge,” the band came back in 1998 with “Beat The Drum” and kicked off a whole new chapter.
The upcoming box set includes freshly remastered versions of Beat The Drum, Live Our Lives, The Cross And The Crucible, The Blinding Darkness, The Dreams Of Men and Moment To Moment. The remastering was handled by keyboardist Ronnie Brown. The release also comes with a Blu-ray of live footage and an illustrated booklet with an essay by Mike Bentley, the go-to music expert on all things Pallas.
You can already pre-order it from Cherry Red Records.
A must-have for prog rock fans and hardcore collectors alike!
