Primorska rock outfit Pelhan, who have been cementing their spot on the Slovenian music scene for years under the leadership of mastermind Aleš Pelhan, are unveiling their latest track, “Poljub”. This time the band steps away from the classic rock clichés and puts a mature, emotional, beautifully produced story about fateful encounters front and center.
When Words Become Redundant
“Poljub” isn’t just about romance. It’s about that very specific moment when, after many long years, you run into someone from your past again. “Faces change, stories get rewritten, but when our eyes meet, time stops for a moment,” say the band members. The song explores an unspoken attraction that defies years and distance, and it celebrates the courage to let yourself feel again after everything life has thrown at you.
Modern Production with a Rock Signature
Musically, “Poljub” stays true to the band’s recognizable sound, but it brings a fresh edge to the production. The track balances intimate vocals with a big, stadium-sized chorus that stands for the moment all those pent-up emotions finally break loose.
For the visuals, Pelhan joined forces with the Spectus crew, who managed to capture the song’s nostalgic yet raw atmosphere in the music video.
“Poljub isn’t just a song about the past. It’s an ode to the moment when reason steps into the background and the heart finally gets a voice. Sometimes all it takes is one gesture, one kiss, to close the circle,” the band adds.
