The Claypool Lennon Delirium, the creative team-up of Les Claypool (Primus) and Sean Lennon, are announcing their third album, “The Great Parrot-Ox And The Golden Egg of Empathy,” which drops May 1 via ATO Records.
The duo has released a video for the third single, The Melody Of Entropy, which you can check out below. Before that, the two musicians also put out the singles WAP (What a Predicament) and The Golden Egg of Empathy (ft. Willow).
The album is a concept record. It packs in 14 tracks.
“The Great Parrot-Ox and the Golden Egg of Empathy is a warning about what awaits humanity if we keep putting machines ahead of people,” Lennon explains, adding: “It’s a story about a technocracy overshadowed by paper clips. It’s a story about a young man who has to untangle his father’s web of crazy deeds, and about a holy feathered goddess holding an egg-shaped key that leads to their future.”
The new album will be available as a 2-LP set in a gatefold sleeve, along with a 24-page comic where every track is illustrated, following the way the story on the album unfolds.
