Snakebite, the German melodic rockers, have dropped a new single, Take Me Home Tonight. You can check out their take on the classic ’80s hit below.
Take Me Home Tonight is a reinterpretation of the original by Eddie Money. It was the lead hit from Money’s 1986 album “Can’t Hold Back” and interpolates a piece of The Ronettes’ 1963 hit Be My Baby. The interpolation was contributed by the original Ronettes singer Ronnie Spector.
Snakebite already played this cover on their last tour, when they opened for The New Roses, and now the studio version is available below too.
Mixing and mastering were handled by Dennis Koehne and Tom Kornis (known for working with Sodom and Orden Ogan, among others).
The band, formed in Essen in 2012, has released three studio albums so far. The latest, “Cobra Crew,” came out in 2024!
