Stand Up is the second single from Acacia Avenue’s fifth studio album, “Chapter V”, which drops on May 22, 2026! The album is coming out on Pride & Joy Music. On this single, C.O.P. and Decoy vocalist Pete Sundall joins in with his vocals as a special guest. You can check out the single below.
Acacia Avenue previously released the first single from the album, the track Stand Your Ground.
The idea for Acacia Avenue was born back in 2008. Founding member Torben Enevoldsen (Fate, Fatal Force, Section A) spent most of that year writing new material. Some of it was very melodic, leaning toward a mix of hard rock and AOR, so the idea of recording a whole album in that style soon followed. To spice things up, Enevoldsen decided to invite a few of his good friends to join in.
The debut album featured Tony Mills (ex-TNT, Shy), Geir Rönning (Radioactive), Torben Lysholm (Pangea, Mysterell) and Lars Säfsund (Work Of Art) on vocals. Torben played bass, keyboards and guitars and also contributed lead and backing vocals, among other things, while Thomas Heintzelmann (Decoy) handled the drums. The studio debut came out in 2010 on Lion Music.
In January 2011, Torben joined the Danish hard rock outfit Fate, but even during that period he managed to put out four albums in total with Acacia Avenue. After the release of “Worlds Apart” (2018), Enevoldsen shifted his focus to solo projects, and also wrote and recorded for other artists, including Rob Moratti, Pinnacle Point, Decoy and Fate. In the meantime, he found some time again, and the fifth Acacia Avenue studio album was born.
The new Acacia Avenue album features Peer Johansson (Now Or Never, Fate), Peter Sundell (C.O.P., Decoy) and Dagfinn Joensen (Bloody Dice), and Enevoldsen also managed to weave in vocals from the late Tony Mills (Shy, TNT). Pete Steincke (Fate) contributed bass guitar.
The album was produced by Enevoldsen, who also handled the mixing and mastering in Denmark at Funny Farm studio.
