Back in the ’80s, Scottish rock ‘n’ roll warriors Heavy Pettin were conquering stages all over the world, and their 1983 debut album “Lettin Loose” loudly announced that the band was right on the verge of a commercial breakthrough. Heavy Pettin’ toured with Ozzy Osbourne and Mötley Crüe! The world was at the feet of the lads from Glasgow. Riding a wave of acclaim, two years later they put out an even better album – more mature, with an even broader production sweep – “Rock Ain’t Dead” (1985), which flirted with AOR trends. But the leap into the top tier of the global hard and heavy rock scene never happened. Four years later came the album “Big Bang”, and then Heavy Pettin flickered out and went on a 30-year hiatus.
Heavy Pettin are:
Stephen “Hamie” Hayman – vocals
Dave “Davo” Aitken – guitar, backing vocals
Richie “St. James” Dews – guitar, backing vocals
David “Boycee” Boyce – bass
Mick “The Wizard” Ivory – drums
