Joseph Tholl, the Swedish multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and composer known for his work with speed metallers Enfrocer (where he played guitar until 2019), the founder of Black Trip (later renamed Vojd) and the current guitarist of Tribulation, will release his second studio album, “It Might Be Art”, via High Roller Records in mid-June this year.

Below you can check out the second single (and video) from It Might Be Art. Before it, Joseph dropped the single New Dawn.

After six years, “It Might Be Art” follows Tholl’s debut “Devil’s Drum” (2019).

On “It Might Be Art”, Tholl took care of the vocals and guitars, played most of the bass guitars, and handled keyboards and synth. He’s joined on the album by Robert Eriksson (The Hellacopters) and Jakob Ljungberg (Second Sun), who laid down the drums, plus Johannes Andersson (Tribulation), Tobias Lindkvist (Tyrann), Pia Stjärnvind (Serpent Omega), Adam Zaars (Tribulation) and Robert Pehrsson (Dundertåget, Robert Pehrsson’s Humbucker).

You can already pre-order “It Might Be Art”.

“It Might Be Art” blends a wide range of musical influences. Tholl cites names like The Sisters Of Mercy, The Cure, New Model Army and Midnight Oil as inspiration, among others, and adds: “It’s really hard to pin down the album’s music by naming just a few bands. There are simply too many influences. The album is a mix of grunge, heavy metal, Swedish pop/rock, AOR… I’ve reshaped all of it into my own rock’n’roll.”
