The band has already dropped their first original single, the track Mi delamo, which comes with a lucid animated video you can check out below.

Music by: Samo Šalamon, lyrics by: Samo Šalamon

REGI KVAK are a five-piece reggae/funk band from Maribor that blends infectious groove rhythms, energetic guitar riffs and positive stage energy. Our original music is built on the interplay of reggae’s laid-back feel and funk’s rhythmic punch, spiced up with original lyrics and genuine interaction with the audience.

The band is made up of superb musicians, led by one of Slovenia’s best jazz players of the last 25 years, guitarist Samo Šalamon, who has already recorded more than 45 albums as a bandleader and was named one of the 10 best young jazz guitarists in the world by Guitar Player magazine years ago. Alongside Šalamon are some exceptional “youngsters” of the Slovenian music scene. On guitar is Jakob Podlesek, the newest member of Batista Cadillac. Gregor Miklavc, who is also a member of Rasta Safari, plays keyboards and trumpet. The rhythm section is bassist Gašper Drev, who plays in numerous bands all over Slovenia (Zha, Bambus, etc.), and the outstanding Maribor drummer Tin Matuš, who has been a fixture of the Maribor music scene for years.
