The band Divje Jezero is known for weaving together different musical genres, with rock often colliding with other influences, which gives their sound a distinctive breadth.
Two years after the release of their fourth album Prva stran, they’re unveiling a new single and music video via Celinka.si – VZEMI SI ČAS – a track that, with its funky pop character, is a slight departure from what you’d expect, yet stays true to their expressiveness and energy.
“The song came together really fast. The starting point was a drum groove that served as the inspiration for the main melody. The lyrics, which were actually written a few years before the music, just clicked with it on their own,” says Luka Čibej, the drummer and the song’s author.
The song is about how much the small moments in life matter, and how they’re often the ones that count the most.
The video was shot in the Zgornja Idrijca Landscape Park in the relaxed atmosphere of a picnic and a get-together, which nicely complements the song’s message – life isn’t just about the destination, it’s above all about the journey.
The new single and video VZEMI SI ČAS are now available on YouTube and digital platforms.
