Asia, the British icons of progressive rock and AOR, are announcing a new studio album, »Indigo«, due out on November 6 via Frontiers Music Srl.
Below you can check out the first single and official video from the band’s upcoming album, for the track The Traveller (Into The Light).
More than four decades after they redefined the face of progressive rock for the eighties and joined the wave of melodic rock and AOR that signaled new trends in music, Asia return in 2026 with the studio album »Indigo«, which ties past, present and future together with remarkable elegance and authenticity.
With Geoffrey Downes at the helm and an inspiring new lineup rounded out by drummer Virgil Donati, guitarist John Mitchell and bassist/vocalist Harry Whitley, Asia step confidently into a new era while honoring the legacy that earned them a place among rock’s icons.
The album was recorded over the past year, produced by Geoff Downes, with John Mitchell handling the mixing and mastering.
The album is also special for its guest musicians. Steve Howe left his mark on the track Chesapeake Bay with acoustic guitar, while Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater) contributed drums to the track Tattoo Indigo (Part 3), which is a bonus track on the album.
