Peter Hammill, a one-of-a-kind musical visionary and a member of British prog rock icons Van Der Graaf Generator, is announcing a new studio album, due out September 25 on Esoteric Antenna Records. The album, titled “Tears In Time”, will be Hammill’s first in five years.
The new record is a collection of songs recorded at various locations in his Terra Incognita studio between 1991 and 2026. It’s the first since 2021’s “In Translation”, which was a selection of covers, so “Tears In Time” is effectively Hammill’s first real studio album since 2017’s “From The Trees” to feature entirely new original material.
“Tears In Time” will be available in all formats, and you can already pre-order it.
The tracklist for “Tears In Time” is as follows:
1. For A Rainy Day
2. The Wheels
3. Heavy Weather
4. Angle Of The Curve
5. So Much Water
6. Tabula Rasa
7. Oh The End
8. Red Flags (In The Sunset)
9. You’ll Never Know
10. The Half Of It
11. And When He Ran
