Bangalore Choir will release their new studio album “Payload” on November 6, 2026. It’s the band’s sixth studio album! It’s coming out via El Puerto Records.
Bangalore Choir formed in the US in 1992 and hit cult status pretty fast, before some band called Nirvana turned the American market upside down and knocked these rising stars (among others) right off their pedestal.
Since day one, Bangalore Choir have stood for easygoing living and sheer joy of life. Stuff we keep forgetting about these days. The new album’s cover is also done in the band’s trademark style, which shows they’re flirting with the era of the album “On Target”.
The result is 12 songs written by David Reece, Tommy McWilliams and Steve Gordon MIA (except for track 7, «Breakdown Unforgettable», written by David Reece and Andy Susemihl). The album invites you out for a ride in a convertible, with everything that comes along with it.
The album was mixed and mastered by Riccardo Demarosi and Steve Gordon!
If we believe the documentary «Nöthin’ But a Good Time» on Paramount+, Bangalore Choir are probably the last big band left from the golden days of the Sunset Strip, the scene that gave us bands like Mötley Crüe, Guns N’ Roses and Poison. Despite all the scandals that eventually brought that musical era to an end, plenty of people still remember the days when the heart of heavy metal was beating in Los Angeles.
