Blacklist Unions, a hard rock outfit from Los Angeles who recently opened for the legendary Faster Pussycat in Prosek, Italy (RockLine gig review), are back with a new single, Heavy Is the Crown, which is already out on all streaming platforms!
Built around perseverance and the fact that everybody carries a burden through life, one you get rewarded for in the end, the single reminds us that sometimes we have to push through even the darkest moments on our path.
Frontman Tony West sums it up perfectly: “The single ‘Heavy is the Crown’ means that sometimes it ‘ain’t easy’, but you’ve got to pull yourself together and face the situation!”
The single came out soon after the band locked in the dates for a joint European tour with Faster Pussycat and Femme Fatale, fronted by singer Lorraine Lewis. At the end of the tour, West proposed to Lewis in the middle of the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
The single was mixed and mastered by Christopher Johnson.
