Down, American heavy metal icons, will release their long-awaited new studio album “Volume V” on November 20 via Nuclear Blast Records.
Down has never been just a band. Down is a brotherhood, rooted in friendships that go back to childhood! A tribute to New Orleans, Louisiana. Music for anyone who’s ever headbanged, played air guitar, or wore a (worn-out, faded) tour shirt like armor without a second thought. For more than three decades, the quintet of Philip H. Anselmo, Pepper Keenan, Kirk Windstein, Jimmy Bower and Pat Bruders has quietly been building a legacy like no other. When these guys get together, magic happens. The magic of earthquake-like rhythmic tremors and explosive roars straight from the soul, with guitar lines that could wake an ancient deity who’s been sleeping for centuries.
So this fall, Down are opening a new chapter with “Volume V”.
Below you’ll find the album’s second single and the video for The Myth. Down previously announced the new album with the single Blood Oath.
“Volume V” was produced by Eddie Mapp and Down, mixed by Dave Fortman, and mastered by Maor Appelbaum at Maor Appelbaum Mastering in California.
“Volume V” is already available to pre-order.
