Jet Black Diamonds Drop Video and Single “Najstna leta”
Jet Black Diamonds are unveiling their new single “Najstna leta”, an honest and slightly cheeky ode to growing up in the Vipava Valley. The track opens the final chapter before the release of their long-awaited second studio album, landing in the first half of October, and they’ll present it on October 21 at a big show at Kino Šiška.
Just over two years after their debut Sladki problemi, Jet Black Diamonds are heading back to where they first presented it at a sold-out show in April 2024 – Kino Šiška. But before that, they’re opening up another important chapter of the new record: “Najstna leta.”
The new single takes us back to the Vipava Valley and to those years when life in the countryside was mostly about testing limits, proving yourself, first loves, stupid stunts, and stories we probably wouldn’t repeat today – but love telling all the same.
“Najstna leta” doesn’t romanticize youth. The lyrics string together teenage adventures with no sugarcoating, some innocent, some a bit more morally questionable, and all real enough that listeners far outside the Vipava Valley will probably recognize their own stories in them.
The band deliberately dressed the story in a youthful, energetic, infectious sound that chases the feeling of those years – when every day is a new adventure and boundaries exist mainly so you can test them.
The song comes with a distinctly auteur-driven music video under the creative direction of Jure Marc, which builds the story of “Najstna leta” through cinematic, slightly unconventional visuals.
Before the album drops in the first half of October, the guys are teasing a bit more new music, including a duet with a well-known Slovenian musician, and the peak of the whole creative process will be October 21, 2026 at Kino Šiška, where they’ll bring the new record to a concert stage for the first time.Preparations for the show are already in full swing, and the band is also putting together a bigger visual and live production for Kino Šiška, aiming to go a step beyond their own headline shows so far.“We’re really looking forward to Šiška and we’re deep into preparations. The show will be quite different from our standard gigs. We don’t want to give away too much for now, but we can say we’re working on something really special that we believe will surprise the audience,” say Jet Black Diamonds. So after just over two years, a new live chapter awaits the Jets – this time with their second album.
