John Corabi Unveils “When I Was Young” Video
John Corabi, the legendary hard rock vocalist who recently joined the Italian label Frontiers Music Srl., will release his first solo studio album, “New Day”, on the label on April 24, 2026.
Below you’ll find the second single from the upcoming album, the track When I Was Young. Corabi unveiled the title track before it.
You can already pre-order the album “New Day”.
Corabi, known for his thunderous vocals and the rich legacy he’s left behind in bands like Mötley Crüe, The Dead Daisies, Union and The Scream, has picked Marti Frederiksen as his close collaborator on the songwriting and production of the album. Frederiksen is also a longtime studio regular for The Dead Daises.
Corabi promises a record in the style of the ’60s and ’70s, and the band he’s chosen to back him in the studio includes his son Ian on drums, among others.
John Corabi is a singer-songwriter and guitarist who burst onto the music scene in 1991 with The Scream on Hollywood Records. On a sprawling tour across the United States, John caught the attention of radio, MTV, fans and critics with the songs Man In The Moon, I Believe In Me and Father Mother Son.
After Vince Neil’s departure in 1992, Nikki Sixx of Mötley Crüe reached out to John and asked him to join the band for the writing and recording of their 1994 self-titled record. While the band was recording its next album, “Generation Swine”, in late 1996, Vince Neil returned to the group, and John teamed up with former KISS guitarist Bruce Kulick to form Union.
Union went into the studio in 1998 and recorded their debut. With Union, John put out three albums between 1998 and 2001. He then left Union and joined Ratt on their summer tour in 2001, handling guitar and backing vocals. John toured nonstop between 2001 and 2008, then left the band and struck out on his own.
In 2012, John released the acoustic album “Unplugged”, followed by the live album “Live 94, One Night In Nashville” in 2018, plus a handful of solo tribute singles. In 2015, John got a phone call inviting him to join an all-star collective called The Dead Daisies, and since then he’s recorded the albums “Revolución”, “Make Some Noise”, “Live And Louder”, “Burn It Down” and “Light Em’ Up” with The Dead Daisies, along with the recently released blues covers record “Looking For Trouble”.
