Iron Mask, the Belgian power metal outfit led by neoclassically trained guitarist Dushan Petrossi (also known for his work with Metal Kingdom), have announced that American drum master John Macaluso has joined their ranks!
Macaluso is a hugely respected and in-demand American drummer! Over his career he’s played with Yngwie Malmsteen, Ark, Michael Romeo (Symphony X), and more!
With Macaluso, Iron Mask are opening a new chapter in their career, which means he’ll also be recording their next studio album.
There’s more. A few days ago the band also confirmed the return of American singer Mark Boals to their lineup, and said the new album will come out in the second half of this year on the Italian label Frontiers Music Srl.
Mark Boals has already sung on two Iron Mask albums: “Black As Death” (2011) and “Fitfth Son Of Winterdoom” (2013)
More details coming soon!
