Kamelot, the international symphonic power metal outfit known for their infectious melodies, cinematic storytelling and explosive live shows, are back with a new, “monumental” album, “Dark Asylum”, due out August 28 via Napalm Records.
Check out the single Ashen World (ft. Ignacia Fernández) below.
With 14 albums in a genre-defining career – including “Haven” (#1 Billboard Hard Rock), “The Shadow Theory” (#2 Billboard Hard Rock, #1 Amazon Hard Rock & Metal) and the latest, “The Awakening” (#2 Billboard Hard Rock and Top 10 on the German charts) – Kamelot remain a leading force in modern metal after more than three decades.
Set in the gloomy world of the neo-Victorian era, “Dark Asylum” invites listeners through the gates of “RavenHill Asylum” – a mighty institution once built as a grand cathedral, now converted into a place where science, faith and madness coexist in a deeply uncomfortable correlation.
The album was produced by the band’s longtime companion Sascha Paeth, with mixing and mastering handled by Danish sound wizard Jacob Hansen.
“Dark Asylum” will be available in all formats and plenty of variants. You can already pre-order it.
