Pallas unveil video and single “Mother”
Pallas, the cult Scottish progressive rock band, will release their new and ninth studio album, “A Song for Tomorrow”, on October 30, 2026 via Esoteric Antenna.
Check out the first single from the album, Mother, below. It comes with an official music video too.
The album took a year to make, and it undoubtedly follows the sound and style of Pallas albums, but with a few key differences. This time all four members share the vocal lines, meaning each of them has stepped up to take a turn on lead vocals, and everyone also pitches in with backing vocals. The new record once again puts the emphasis on layered vocal harmonies, which was a hallmark of the band’s early work.
At first glance the album might seem like a bundle of messages inspired by biblical events, politics, technology and conflict, but the message runs deeper and touches on people and human relationships, bonds and emotions. It explores the contrast between our inner selves and what we show to others, how a person picks themselves up from the abyss after a fall and carries on, that is, vulnerability, as well as our self-destructive streaks, through which life guides us, and which shape us so that we come out of such trials even stronger.
“Song For Tomorrow” may, going by the title, really leave a legacy for the future, but first and foremost it’s an album of songs for today.
