Peter Gabriel, the celebrated singer-songwriter and British prog-rock icon, has released a ‘dark-side’ mix of his new single Looking For The Happy (mixed by Tchad Blake). The new single will appear on Gabriel’s upcoming album “o\i”.

Judging by how the singles are coming out, with each one dropping in a ‘bright side’ mix first and then a ‘dark side’ mix, we can probably expect Gabriel to put out the new album in two differently mixed versions!

We can expect the next single from Peter Gabriel in about two weeks. Looking For The Happy, meanwhile, already came out in the “bright side” mix on the full August moon!

Before the new single, Gabriel unveiled these tracks: Won’t Stand Down, What Lies Ahead, Been Undone, Put The Bucket Down, What Lies Ahead and Till Your Mind Is Shining.

The album is slowly taking shape over the course of this year, just like Gabriel did with its predecessor “i/o” from 2023. Every single will drop on the full moon. This time around, too, there will be both “dark-side” and “bright-side” mixes, once again handled by Tchad Blake and Mark ‘Spike’ Stent.

All the songs on the album were written and produced by Peter Gabriel, and recorded at Real World studios in Bath and The Beehive in London.
