Peter Gabriel, the celebrated singer-songwriter and British prog rock icon, has dropped the dark-side mix of his fourth new single, Till Your Mind Is Shining (mixed by Tchad Blake). The new single will appear on Gabriel’s upcoming album “o\i”.
Judging by how the singles are coming out, with each one released in a ‘bright side’ mix and then a ‘dark side’ mix, we can expect Gabriel to put out the new album in two differently mixed versions!
Before What Lies Ahead, Gabriel had already shared both mixes of the singles Been Undone, Put The Bucket Down and What Lies Ahead.
The album is slowly taking shape over the course of this year, just like Gabriel did with its predecessor “i/o” from 2023. Each single will come out on the full moon. This time around, too, there will be both a “dark-side” and a “bright-side” mix, again handled by Tchad Blake and Mark ‘Spike’ Stent.
Both previous singles have already come out in both mixes, but we’ll have to wait a little longer for the dark-side mix of the newest one.
Peter Gabriel wrote and produced all three singles, which were recorded at Real World Studios in Bath and The Beehive in London.
