Ljubljana’s summer gig season is about to get its dose of technical brutality. American technical death/thrash masters Revocation are heading to Menza pri koritu, with local progressive death metal outfit Morost keeping them company.
For two decades now, Revocation have been counted among the most respected names in modern extreme metal. Their trademark is jaw-dropping technical precision fused with death and thrash aggression, which has earned them a reputation as one of the most explosive live bands of their generation. Led by guitarist and vocalist David Davidson, the band keeps pushing the line between virtuosity and brutality, and remains a byword for top-notch playing and merciless energy.
Through albums like Empire of the Obscene, The Outer Ones, Netherheaven and New Gods, New Masters, Revocation have honed a recognizable sound that mixes technically polished riffs, lightning-fast solos, complex rhythms and relentless heaviness. Their shows are a display of musical firepower, where world-class musicianship collides with total chaos in the front rows.
The night will be opened by Morost, one of the most interesting names on the Slovenian extreme scene. With their dark blend of death metal, progressive elements and atmospheric weight, they’ve built a reputation both at home and abroad in recent years. Their live shows are an intense, gloomy experience that complements the technical brutality of the night’s headliners perfectly.
